MUSIC BOOSTERS
Westside Music Boosters is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2003 by music parents to support the Band, Choir and Orchestra programs at Westside and its feeder schools. Led by an executive board of parent officers and the music directors, WMB strives to enhance the experience of all music students. We do this through financial support, volunteerism, and advocacy.
WMB recently has supported the music programs in the following ways:
- Hospitality and concessions for music contests held at Westside HS and West Briar MS;
- Financial support and chaperones for our March 2008 trip to Orlando;
- Financial support for and organization of our spring music banquet;
- Chaperones and snacks for events away from school;
- Recruitment events for middle school music students;
- Fundraisers for trips, student fees, and general program needs; and
- Beginning in 2008, scholarships awarded annually to 2 graduating seniors planning to major in music.
JOIN OUR ORGANIZATION
Families are encouraged to support the Westside music programs by getting involved with Boosters. By joining WMB for $20 annual membership contribution, you will show your support and receive email notices of all meetings and important matters affecting our music programs. The music directors will have registration forms available in the fall or stop by our table at the Back-to-School Bash August 22. We will also present information about Boosters at all Band, Choir and Orchestra Parent Meetings.

MEETINGS
We meet monthly on Mondays at 6:30 pm in the Band Hall; please visit our website at www.westsidemusicboosters.org for a list of our scheduled meetings. Matters pertaining to the general music programs are addressed in our meetings. Separate breakout meetings for Band, Choir and Orchestra are held as needed, often immediately following the general meeting.
