2009 SUMMER CAMPS
Softball Camp
Monday, June 1 – Wednesday, June 3
9:00 am-12:00 pm (all skills) and 1:30-2:30 pm (pitchers and catchers)
This camp is open to girls who are age 6 through incoming 9th graders. Please open the registration form for additional information and cost.
Basketball Camps
Monday, June 1 – Friday, June 5
8:00 am – 1:00 pm
This camp is for boys and girls of all skill levels in grades 4-8. It will be catered to all young people who want to improve their game and feature former NBA Rockets player Emmanuel Davis! Please see the flyer for details.
Monday, June 8 – Thursday, June 11
9:00 am – 3:00 pm
This camp is for boys entering grades 6-9 in the fall who want to gain the skills necessary to compete. Personal evaluations will be provided to improve your play. Contests and awards! Please see the flyer for details and bring a signed participants release form.
There will also be a Basketball Open Gym for both boys and girls in 8th-12th grades from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, June 8-26.
Lacrosse Clinics and Practice
Wednesdays, June 3 – August 19
7:00-8:30 pm
The WHS Lacrosse team has Wednesday night "stick clinics" and the sessions are open to any Westside High School boy who is interested in taking the opportunity to experience lacrosse. The clinics are free! We meet on the WHS South Field but there is no Clinic if it is raining.

Bayou Water Polo Club
Mondays and Wednesdays, June 8 – July 10 with Championships July 13-16
9:00-10:00 am ages 14 and under

Summer Water Polo Club for area students interested in playing water polo, or who want to cross train for other sports! There will be summer games and competitive tournaments! Please see attached flyer for details and registration.
Speech and Debate Camp
June 22 – July 3 (Monday – Friday)
8:00 am – 3:00 pm
This camp has been cancelled due to an unforeseen emergency with the debate institute trainer.
String Camp
Monday, July 20 – Friday, July 24
9:00 am – 1:30 pm (Grades 6-8) and 10:30 am – 3:00 pm (Grades 9-12)
Performance 6:00-8:00 pm on July 24

This camp is for 6th-8th graders. Please open the registration form for additional information and cost.
Monday, July 27 – Friday, July 31
8:00-11:00 am for 9th graders and 12:00-3:00 pm for 10th-12th graders
Please open the registration form for additional information and cost. We will open early on July 27 to accept registration.
There will also be a Volleyball Open Gym June 15-25 from 12:00-2:00 pm in the Performance Gym as well as Strength & Conditioning on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, from 9:00-11:00 am, June 1-26 and July 6-10 (Field House Weight Room and Track).
Volleyball Try-outs will be held the week of August 3, 2009.
