Women's Soccer -- schedules
The Lady Wolves Varsity soccer team opened district play January
18, 2008 with a 12-0 win over Westbury High School. In a cold,steady, windy
rain, Mary Tallman lead the Wolves with 5 goals and Spencer Laufer followed
with 3 goals and 5 assists.
Their second district win, on Jan 22 came against Challenge Charter School
. The defense again had a shut out in the 7-0 win with only one shot on goal.
Sophie Moore and Spencer Laufer each had 2 goals with Susanna Rubio, Lauren
Becker and Alyson Carralez finding the back of the net as well!
Game 3, played Friday night, Jan 25, 2008 at Barnett was against Chavez High
School. In the freezing cold with swamp like field conditions, the Wolves again
rose above the weather and won 5-0. Susanna Rubio had 4 goals with 2 assists
from Spencer Laufer and 1 from Mary Tallman on a corner kick. Spencer Laufer
had the other goal.
