Waltrip High School has 13 math teachers working together to instruct students in classes from Paced Algebra and TAAS preparation to Trigonometry and Calculus. Some of our students have won recognition in University Interscholastic League (U.I.L.) competitions.

Teachers use various activities to present the concrete example before moving to the abstract. Students use TI-83/84/89 calculators to see graphs of equations." Other manipulatives are used as well. Algebra lab gear is helpful to factor equations in the quadratic form.
