Waltrip Academies

Too often we give our children answers to remember rather than problems to solve

 – Roger Lewin

Discovery has always been the greatest catalyst of education, teaching the individual how to learn rather than simply what to learn. This is the focus of Waltrip’s Research & Technology Magnet Program. As students progress through the program, they will acquire all of the primary traits of life-long learners. In addition, Waltrip's Research and Technology Magnet Program provides students with opportunities to explore different areas of interest so that they can make educated decisions about their future. Students will use the newest technology to assist them in choosing research topics, conducting research, and presenting their findings. Cross-curricular research on multiple topics will allow students to be prepared to select a field of study in college.

Possible Research Areas
