In Sterling Student Council
every member is considered
a leader because of their
ability to show leadership
and commitment to the school.
- The purpose of this organization shall be to create a unified student body that promotes the
development and enrichment of the student population, school and community.
- The presidents are good leaders because they meet regularly to plan for the meeting and to carry out the objective and projects for our local and and district council.
- Student Council is successful because our council has received the outstanding student council award for the past five years from the state. We implement it's programs and things of
interest to Sterling. This years focus is Habitat for, Spring Food Drive and Toiletries for the Star Of Hope.
- Student Council effects the school because it is responsible for being the Parent Organization on campus. We are here to support other clubs and organizations and create an atmosphere of pride and spirit on campus.
- Some of the activities that student council participates in is the support of the 9-11
community wall, Veterans Day Luncheon. Thanksgiving Food Drive, Home Coming, Carnation, Back to school Dance, Sock Drive, Star of Hope, raising money for habitat for humanity, 9 leaderships, Retreat, Christmas Projective Projects.
