Mr.
Paul Gueverra is pictured here as he demonstrates the technique used
to measure speed and time. The students were given a
weighted string and a plastic handle to spin the string and
determine the number of rotations is a specified time. Thus, determining
the speed of the string. All students enjoyed participating in the
activity and were enthusiastic about the outcomes.
In this experiment, “Circular Motion,” the students will examine the
relationship between the force that maintains circular motion, the
radius, and the tangential speed of a whirling object.
