The Architectural Magnet Program here at SHS is dedicated to prepare students to play a leadership role in rebuilding and revitalizing America’s cities and improving the quality of the built environment. By offering a diverse curriculum in a computer and studio intensive environment, the Architectural Magnet Program will educate significant practitioners and leaders in architectural, planning and construction.

Students studying architecture will be challenged to develop their abilities in problem solving, creative thinking, and informed decision making as a focus of their future education. The student will accomplish this in a well protected and student center environment that fosters personal development and professional excellence. The proximity of the school to Houston offers an opportunity for students to enrich their learning experience through access to the rich architectural community of the region and to many employment opportunities.

The Architectural Magnet Program offers dual-credit to juniors and seniors from HCC.
