Connie Berger, Principal August 25, 2008 Principal’s First Day Minutes Good Morning, And Welcome back to the first Monday of the school year and the Best Year of Your Life! Hopefully this will be an exciting and successful year for each of you. We are a large community of learners, and we are steeped in tradition. We are very pleased to have many new faces joining us this year in our school community, and we are looking forward to outstanding student leadership. To start the year I am asking each Reagan student something. I want you to think for a moment about your role as a Reagan student this year and then a question: What’s in it for me? It’s critically important that you ask yourself what you want from this school year. Begin this year with the end in mind. It is critical you make this connection yourself. The bulldog faculty is one of the finest in the district. We are here to help you achieve your goal of graduation and to prepare you for the future pursuits. Beyond graduation will require a strong responsible academic effort on your part. Additionally in order to make your graduation there are other things we are going to ask of you. First and foremost, our goal will be to maintain a safe environment for all concerned. Your safety is first and foremost in our minds and will require your cooperation, especially as our population continues to grow. In this light, please make sure that you have familiarized yourself with the code of conduct since there have been new additions to it. Bulldog Creed - Try to improve daily - Exhibit respect to self and others - Accept Responsibility for your actions - Make a daily effort to communicate honestly - Be a team player!! The Bulldog Creed is a print for your success and describes the kind of environment we seek here at Reagan High School. Have a Great Week!!
