John H. Reagan High School Clubs and Organizations

Reagan High School offers a variety of extracurricular activities, community project organizations, clubs, and student lead groups.  Reagan’s clubs are sponsored by various teachers and adults, drawing support from the businessmen and women from the community and all around Houston.  Reagan prides itself on its pursuit of excellence.

The purpose of the Reagan Varsity Cheerleading Squad is to support the RHS community by encouraging the athletic activities of Reagan.

The purpose of the Red Coats Dance/ Drill Team is to be of service to the school and the community by supporting all activities and to develop in each of its members: leadership, scholarship, and sportsmanship.

The Spirit Club implements and supports the RHS student body by making students aware of events occurring throughout the community that involve Reagan students.

This national student organization prepares students for careers in business.  The mission of BPA is to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills.

This club provides and opportunity for T&I students to compete in their training area and participate in local, regional, and national competitions.

College and ACT/SAT preparation.  Students receive instruction on completing college applications, scholarships, and financial aid.  Students also have the opportunity to tour colleges and universities.

Tri-M Music

Honor Society

 

“The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international music honor society for middle/junior high and high school students. It is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements, reward them for their accomplishments and service activities, and to inspire other students to excel at music and leadership. Through more than 4,500 chartered chapters, Tri-M has helped thousands of young people provide years of service through music in schools throughout the world.”  They will meet one time in the fall and one time in spring. Music students are selected according to criteria.

NOTE:  This is an honor society not a club/committee.

Interact  

Interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young people ages 14-18. The program gives young people an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects while developing leadership skills and meeting new friends. We meet Mondays after school. Students should be recommended by teachers who know them or inquire about joining by contacting Ms. Kessler

Photography Club is focused on students enthusiastic about photography.  The club is about shooting photographs, visiting artists, looking at student works, critiques, seeing photo shows around town, and participating in exhibitions.  We meet Thursdays from 3:45 – 4:45.  If interested, sign up, come to the meetings and participate.
