What is Communities in Schools (CIS)?

CIS is an organization at Reagan that helps students succeed in school and in life. CIS is here to help out and support ALL students and their families.

What can CIS help me with?

CIS works with students one-on-one or in groups. Here are some services we offer:

·        Help with grades – tutoring, study skills, TAKS support

·        Attendance support – help with issues that interfere with attendance, monitoring attendance

·        Counseling and Mentoring

·        Social and Life Skills Groups on topics like: self-esteem, respect, communication, goal setting, leadership, budgeting, healthy sexuality, anger management and more

·        Emergency assistance – referrals for clothes, food, rent and utilities

·        Help finding a job

·        Referrals to physical and mental health providers, dental or vision care, and other social services

·        Field trips and enrichment activities

·        Classes and other support for your parents

CIS is located in Room A120D, 220D and M322.

We are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

¿ Qué son las Comunidades en las Escuelas

(Communities in Schools, CIS)?

CIS es una organización de la Escuela Secundaria Reagan que ayuda a los estudiantes a alcanzar el éxito en la escuela y en su vida personal. Estamos aquí para ayudar y apoyar   A TODOS LOS ALUMNOS Y SUS FAMILIAS.

¿Es posible que CIS pueda ayudarme?

CIS trabaja con los estudiantes individualmente y en grupos. A continuación aparece un lista de los servicios que ofrecemos:

·        Ayudamos con las calificaciones – tutoras, entrenamiento en hábitos de estudio, TAKS

·        Apoya de asistencia escolar – los ayudamos con los problemas que interfieren con su asistencia

·        Ofrecemos los servicios de consejeras y mentores

·        Tenemos grupos que tienen temas como: amor propio, respeto, comunicación, definición de metas, liderazgo, presupuesto, sexualidad saludable, control del enojo y otros

·        Asistimos con emergencias – referimos para ropa, comida, renta, servicios públicos

·        Ayudamos a encontrar trabajo

·        Referimos a servicios médicos, dentales, ópticos y otros servicios sociales

·        Hacemos excursiones y actividades sociales

·        Clases y otros servicios para los padres

CIS está en el Salón A120 D y A220D.

Nuestra oficina está abierto de lunes a viernes, de 8 a.m. a 4 p.m.
