Teachers’ instructions for scheduling tests and printing answer documents

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Type https://houston.ccap4schools.net into address bar and press enter.
  3. Username is your HISD email username (without the @houston.isd.org after it).
  4. Password is your employee id number and the first two letters of your last name.  (First letter of your last name capitalized, second letter lower case.)
  5. Once logged in, click “Benchmark Assessments” to expand the menu.
  6. Select “schedule tests”.
  7. Follow the steps starting out in step on by selecting your classroom.
  8. In step two select the test criteria.  You will only be able to select your subject area; for example math teachers will test math, reading teachers, reading, etc.
  9. Be sure that you select “District CBA” under category.
  10. You will need to wait for the “dialogue boxes” that open with each of the previous steps to complete before clicking continue and moving to the next step.
  11. Once you have selected the test, scroll down, select “manual start” and click “save test schedule”.
  12. You will need to complete steps 7 through 11 for each class you teach.  The process will be streamlined and run more quickly once you’ve completed the first scheduling.
  13. After scheduling all of the tests, go to the assessment menu and select “my tests”.
  14. You should see your test as a ‘link’.  By clicking the link, you will open the test.  You can scroll to the bottom and print the test booklet.  Print one copy, and then use the copier to make a class set of test booklets.
  15. After printing the test, highlight the dot next to the test title and select print.
  16. Check the box next to “pre-slugged answer sheets”.
  17. Press the ‘change classroom’ link, select a class to print answer sheets for each class.
  18. Your answer sheets must be printed on a laser printer.  Make sure your computer is mapped to one of the network printers to do so.
  19. I will put a link to the CCAP website on our school website.
