Lamar Univ. Scholarships are awarded to graduating HS seniors planning to attend Lamar Univ. in

. Beaumont, TX. A warding of scholarships is based primarily upon academic achievement, leadership abilities and participation in extra curricular activities. Amt: $500 - $15,000. Deadline: Received by Feb. 1,2005.

 

2005 SAE Engineering Scholarships are available to qualified students who are interested in the study of engineering and the related sciences. Students must be a high school senior, intend to earn a degree in engine.ering or related science, be a US citizen, meet minimum SAT or ACT scores and OP As.

DeVry University Undergraduate Scholarships are available for students interested in attending a DeVry University campus. There are four scholarships with various requirements. Amounts range from $1500 per semester to full tuition. See information sheet in Miss Sanford's office.

 

The Jefferson Scholars foundation is sponsored by the Univ. of Virginia for high school seniors who possess exceptional ability in leadership and scholarship and plan to attend the Univ. of V A.

The Toyota Community Scholars Program will award scholarships to 100 high school seniors. Students must enroll at a 4-year college or university in the fall of2004, have academic excellence and actively participates in lots of communitY service. The Texas A&M Foundation is offering its Foundation Excellence Awards for students who will be incoming freshmen at Texas A&M Univ, College Station. These scholarships are available to minority students who have financial need as well as good grades and some leadership history. Amt: $2000/year Deadline: Received by Feb. 15,2005.

 

The Gongaware Center in the School of Business at Indiana State Univ. is offering a scholarship, laptop computer and $3000 to top high school students interested in the financial services industry. Applicants must exhibit leadership experience, GPA = 3.5+, rank in top 10% and have a SAT = 1000+.

The Gates Millennium Scholarships are now available. Eligible students should be a minority student, a US citizen or legal resident, OPA of3.3+, going to accredited college in fall of2005, have leadership abilities, community service and file for financial aid no later than March I, 2005.
