State of Schools Report - 2007
Congratulations to the Lamar High School Choir for receiving the highest honor that can be bestowed on a high school choir in the State of Texas! The Chorale Women were named 2009 State Performance Choir by the Texas Music Educators Association. This amazing honor is equivalent to going to the state championship in a team sport. A panel of judges heard over 100 CDs and chose the Lamar Chorale Women to perform at next year’s 2009 TMEA Convention in San Antonio.

University of Oxford Summer Program
As an 11th grader at Lamar High School, an International Baccalaureate World School, the Oxford experience is available to juniors interested in a rigorous summer academic program.
