Application to the IB

Lamar High School is one of only three HISD schools which offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Honors Program. The IB Program is available to any eligible student at Lamar who wishes to study at the honors level.

The Lamar Magnet Program for Business Administration and the Lamar IB Program are two separate programs which:

Require two separate applications
Require two separate sets of documentation and academic records
Follow two separate admissions requirements
Have two separate Program Coordinators

Failure to follow the separate application procedures for the two programs can result in:

Incomplete applications or academic records
Delay and/or lack of evaluation
Loss of admission placement
Improper placement in classes
