AJROTC:: Uniform
Female Cadets
a. Shirt, woman’s green, AG 415, short sleeve (tucked in slacks)
b. Slacks, woman’s green, AG 489 (The senior instructor must obtain DJROTC approval for students wearing the AG 489 skirt)
c. Garrison cap with JROTC cap insignia, or officer’s metal rank insignia
d. Belt, woman’s black, and brass belt buckle, if slacks with belt loop are worn
e. Shoes, low quarter, black, worn with appropriate flesh tone sheer hose
f. Appropriate rank insignia/chevrons, as authorized by school orders signed by SAI or department orders signed by DJROTC. Private and Private First Class cadets will wear the metal cadet rank insignia on the black shoulder loop tabs (worn 5/8 inch from the outer edge of the shoulder tab). Cadets who have not attained the rank of Private will wear the black shoulder tab on each shoulder loop of the shirt.
g. All authorized awards, decorations, and accoutrements. Unit/school awarded ribbons, pendants, and medals will not be worn.
h. Name plate (bottom edge slightly above the top edge of the first button shown)
i. Distinct Unit Insignia worn ¼” above and centered on the nametag)
j. Honor Unit/Honor Unit with Distinction Insignia, if authorized, worn 1/8” above and centered on the HU/HUD insignia
Male Cadets
a. Shirt, man’s green, AG 415, short sleeve
b. Trousers, man’s green, AG 489
c. Garrison cap with JROTC cap insignia, or officer’s metal rank insignia
d. Belt, man’s black, and brass belt buckle
e. Shoes, low quarter, black, with black socks
f. All authorized awards, decorations, and accoutrements. Unit/school awarded ribbons, arcs, pendants, and medals will not be worn.
g. Appropriate rank insignia/chevrons, as authorized by school orders signed by the senior instructor or department orders signed by the DJROTC. Private and Private First Class cadets will wear the metal cadet rank insignia on the black shoulder loop tabs (worn 5/8” from the outer edge of the shoulder tab). Cadets who have not attained the rank of Private will wear the black shoulder tab on each shoulder loop of the shirt.
h. Name plate (centered horizontally on the right pocket flap and centered between the top of the button and the top of the pocket)
i. Honor Unit/Honor Unit with Distinction Insignia, if authorized, centered and ¼ inch above right breast pocket
j. Unit Crest (above and centered on the HU/HUD insignia)

C. The Service Equivalent Uniform is the authorized uniform of the day for the AFJROTC and NJROTC Programs.
