Immunization
Students at Michael DeBakey HSHP must be in compliance with both state and district guidelines, as well as clinical rotation site policies. A physical examination (within 1 year), must be on file with the clinical instructor.
Clinical rotation sites require the Hepatitis B, TB skin test (given within 1 year), and Varicella (Chicken Pox) vaccines be current.

If a student has had the Chicken Pox, a written statement from a physician or student's parent or guardian verifying the approximate date the student had the disease, is considered reliable information. |
