THEATRE PRODUCTION
The Varsity Theatre Production Company is responsible for 4-5 productions a year which include representing WHS in the UIL One Act Play contest in the spring.
The Junior Varsity Theatre Production Company is responsible for 2-3 productions a year apart from the 4-5 productions the Varsity Production Class performs. Members of this class are also called upon to support, understudy, and often step in for members of the Varsity Production Class in their productions throughout the year.

AUDITIONS FOR THE THEATRE PRODUCTION COMPANY
Auditions for admittance into both companies are in the spring. Varsity is open to any interested incoming sophomores, juniors, and seniors and Junior Varsity is open to all four grade levels. Students are usually asked to submit a resume, application, and taped monologues that show off their acting abilities. Specifics about these auditions are released in April.
REQUIREMENTS
If a student is accepted into either Theatre Production Class, he/she will be required to remit a materials fee. This covers the company polo, a Ben Nye Makeup Kit, a company embossed travel bag, and a pair of character shoes. Due to fluctuating costs, this fee will be determined during the summer but generally runs around $150. All students MUST attend and review a theatrical production outside of WHS in each grading period.
PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE
The Varsity Production Company produces two shows in the first semester, one in the winter, and our Senior Show in May. In addition, this troupe is responsible for participating in the UIL-One Act Play competition in the spring.
The Junior Varsity Production Company produces two shows, one in the fall and one in the spring. In addition to these productions, members of this company form the casts of the 2-4 student directed shows that are performed early in the second semester.
We post the schedules for the year in early fall.
