THEATRE DEPARTMENT
Welcome to Westside Theatre! Our two production companies present five to seven shows every year for your enjoyment. In addition, we compete in the U.I.L. One Act Play Contest each spring and have won District 4 of the past 7 years. Westside students have the opportunity to develop their acting skills, learn the technical aspects of putting on a show, direct and even playwright.
Westside has two performance venues in addition to our auditorium. Our 100-seat Black Box is not only a teaching theatre but also the setting for our junior varsity shows presented “in the round.” The 250-seat Theatre offers a more traditional experience and is home to most varsity productions. Every seat is a great seat!
