| Biography: Hello! I am Susan Boone, a high-school teacher at Westside High School in the Houston Independent School District. I am a native born Texan, and have lived in Houston for the last 30 years. I grew up in Temple, Texas, graduated from Temple High School and have a B.S. in Secondary Education from the University of Texas at Austin. I became very involved in a Technology Program at Rice University in 1992; (TeacherTECH -- http://teachertech.rice.edu). After teaching mathematics for 20 years, I realized the power that technology created in the classroom and have been a Technology Applications teacher since 2001. I try to share this enthusiasm with the students at Westside. I have enjoyed the projects they have created and they have taught me a lot. I am particularly interested in sharing teaching ideas in Algebra and Integrated Technology. A project that I worked on with the Math Forum shows an example of how integrating technology in the classroom energizes students.
