TUTORIALS
Every faculty member wants every student to pass their class and tutorials are offered before school, during lunch and/or after school in every subject. Whether you’ve missed school or simply don’t understand the subject matter, it doesn’t take much to fall behind and start a downward spiral. Do NOT wait until you are failing; take the initiative and get help early. You’ll be surprised how one or two sessions can put you back on track!
CLASS TUTORIALS
Class tutorial schedules are available on each teacher’s Lesson Plan page or simply ask your teacher. Our Math Department has also provided an Overview of Math Tutorials to allow students flexibility in getting assistance.
SATURDAY TUTORIALS
Saturday Tutorials are held throughout the year to give students assistance in English, math, science and history, Spanish and ESL. We also incorporate TAKS preparation at the appropriate time of year. While some students are identified based on grades, tutorials are open to anyone. We provide a light breakfast at 8:00 am followed by two sessions, 8:30 – 10:30 am. (Students may split subjects or remain in one tutorial for the full two hours.) Students must bring their ID. Please make arrangements for getting students home as the building will be closed at 11:00 am. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Catchings at 281-920-8014 or Rita Lopez at 281-920-8001 or stop by the main office.
