OVERVIEW/DESCRIPTION

Our mission is to provide a challenging and rigorous college preparatory program with enrichment opportunities in the area of Applied Science and Health Professions.

The theme Applied Science and Health Professions was developed through collaboration among our students, parents, and faculty. One of the strengths of this theme is the variety of careers associated with Applied Science and Health Professions.

ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES

We have developed many enrichment opportunities related to Applied Sciences and Health Professions including:

Partnership with Baylor College of Medicine

• Graduate students from Baylor pair up with our science teachers to enhance the classroom experience.
• Students can be selected for Baylor’s BIOS summer medical research program.
• Students visit Baylor College of Medicine to observe what medical school is like.

Visit to Texas A & M’s Veterinary School to talk with admissions representatives and tour the facility.

Visit to Texas Woman’s University nursing program.

Visit to Memorial Hermann’s Trauma Unit.

Visit St. Luke’s Hospital to view a surgery.

BP Engineering Day to explore the field of Engineering.

Summer travel opportunities – our students have traveled to Costa Rica over last three summers.
