scorer on the squad, averaging 5.1 points per game…Started the last 10 games
of the season…Averaged 17.5 minutes per game…Hit on 45 percent of her shots
from the field and was a 61-percent shooter from the charity stripe…Best
game from the free-throw line was an 8-of-10 effort versus Charlotte…Was
6-of-9 from the field in 12-point effort against Tennessee Tech…Hit four or
more field goals in seven game. |

Bennie
Brazell, Wide Receiver,
Cincinnati Bengals. Selected by the Bengals in the 2006 NFL draft, Bennie
departs LSU with the distinction of being the only athlete in LSU history to
have earned two national championships: one in football and one in track.

Brazell, 2004
Olympian, USA Track Pro, NCAA Champion, Texas State Champion, 400 Meter Hurdles;
College Football Player at Louisiana State University, Westbury Class of 2001.
Coached by Andrew Blanks and George Campbell. Career Highlights: 2004 Olympic Games
finalist; placed 3rd at 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials; Runner-up at 2004 & 2005
NCAA Championships; 10-time NCAA All-American at LSU.Brazell
turned in another strong performance with his eighth place finish later that
summer at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. In 2003 Brazell turned in a
sensational sophomore campaign in winning three national titles as a member
of the Tigers’ 4x100 and 4x400-meter relay teams…he anchored LSU to it’s
second straight national title in the 4x100 as the Tigers posted the
fourth-fastest mark in school history (38.65) at the NCAA Championships.
Following a strong season in 2002, Brazell was named the SEC Male Track and
Field Freshman of the Year...as a receiver on the 2003 BCS national
championship LSU football team, Brazell became the first athlete in school
history to win national championships in two different sports…Brazell is a
Journalism major at LSU.

Tiffany Brumley, 100 Meter Hurdles, Lamar University, Westbury Class of 2001.
Coached by Rose Brimmer. Ran five of LU's top six 100-meter hurdle times
during outdoor ... Top time was 14.49 to win at Ty Terrell Relays ...
Clocked a 14.55 in the prelims of the 100 hurdles at the SLC Outdoor
Championships ... Ran third leg of winning 4X100 relay team (48.42) at Ty
Terrell Relays ... Turned in LU's top three times in the indoor 60-meter
hurdles ... Best time was 9.07 in the semifinals of the SLC Indoor
Championships ... Time ranks fourth on Lamar's all-time best list.

Clyde
Edwards, Wide Receiver, Grambling State University. Westbury Class of 2005.
Coached by George Campbell. Starting as a true freshman, Clyde was
the second leading receiver on the Grambling team. Statistics for 2005: 11
Games, 45 Receptions, 893 yards, 10 touchdowns.

Edwin Harrison - No. 76 Starting Left Tackle - University of Colorado,
Westbury High School Class of 2001. Coached by
George Campbell. Edwin started throughout the season, culminating in the
Big 12 Championship game at Reliant Stadium where he played against former
Westbury teammate and current Longhorn, George Walker. At 6'4" and 305
pounds, Edwin is an imposing force on the Buffalo offensive line. Edwin's
little brother currently attends Westbury.

Bayano
Kamani, Olympian, 400M Hurdles, Westbury Class of 1997. Coached by Andrew Blanks. Career
Highlights: 1999, 2001 NCAA 400m hurdles champion; 2-time NCAA 4x400m relay
champion ('00, '01); 3-time Big 12 Conference champion. One of the rising
young talents in U.S. Track & Field, Kamani enjoyed a sterling prep career
at Westbury High School in Houston, where he was the state champion in the
110m hurdles and 300m hurdles his senior year. He is the Texas state record
holder in the 300m with a career prep best of 35.76, and he broke the
national HS record holder in the 400 hurdles (50.8). Kamani received the
Houston scholar athlete award and earned high school All-American honors in
the 300 and 400 meter hurdles…was the state runner-up at 300m hurdles his
junior season.

Patrick Oakafor, Former Forward, University of Houston. Westbury High School
Class of 1998. Coached by Chuck Grawe. One of only two Cougars to start 27 games…played
in 28 games overall…led Houston and ranked third among Conference USA
rebounding leaders with 8.6 rebounds per game…led the league in offensive
rebounds with an average of 4.46… was one of the top 11 field goal shooters
in C-USA and ranked second among team leaders with a .495 (104-210)
percentage…

Anthony
Oakley, Offensive Line,
Chicago Bears. Westbury High School Class of 1999. PRO CAREER: Reserve
offensive lineman joined the Bears prior to the 2005 training camp after a
successful NFL Europe season with the Frankfurt Galaxy... Signed with
Cleveland as an undrafted free agent and went to training camp with the
Browns in 2004 and later spent a week on their practice squad.

Alex Obomese,
Defensive Lineman, University of Texas at El Paso. Westbury High School
Class of 2002. Coached by George Campbell. 6'3", 235 lbs, Junior, 2 Letters. Alex dominated on
defense this season, leading the team with 6.5 sacks.

Juan
Pineda, Goalie, San
Jacinto Junior College, Westbury Class of 2005. Juan is a gifted goal
keeper. He has natural athletic talents and is fearless in the box. Juan
should definitely keep things interesting in the keeper position and will
make a solid challenge for the starting spot. He was a standout keeper for
Westbury HS and will bring that confidence to help solidify the Coyote
defense.

Brodney
Pool, Safety, Cleveland Browns, Westbury Class of 2002. Coached by
George Campbell. Brodney was Selected by Cleveland in the second round
(34th overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft. He was an All-American at Oklahoma and
played against fellow Westbury alumni and LSU receive Bennie Brazelle in the
2004 NCAA Championship Game in the Sugar Bowl. Brodney's mother Rose Brimmer,
Westbury's former track coach and a 4-time state track coach champion, is an
assistant track coach at the University of Texas.

Crysta
Swayzer, Sprints, Notre Dame University.
Showed progress early in her second season
with the Irish ... posted a huge career best in the indoor 400 meters at the
Blue & Gold Invitational, also running a season-best time of 55.82 to
qualify for the BIG EAST Championship ... posted a 200-meter league
qualifying time at the Blue & Gold meet, covering the distance in 25.22
seconds ... did not compete throughout the rest of the 2006 track season.

Michael Strahan, Defensive End, New
York Giants. Westbury Class of 1989. Coached by John Crain. Height 6-5,
Weight 275, College Texas Southern. Michael is in his 13th season with the
New York Giants and has made the Pro Bowl six times. He holds the NFL sack
record for a single season. Michael was a standout end at Texas Southern.
His senior year at Westbury was his first year playing football.

Tibadeaux, Defensive End, University of Oklahoma. Westbury Class of 2002.
Coached by George Campbell. All-Big 12 second team (Big 12 Coaches) ...
All-Big 12 honorable mention (AP) ... applied for and received a hardship
ruling that will allow him another year of eligibility (was previously
listed as a senior) ... led Oklahoma with nine sacks .

1998. Coached by Larry Williams. Won a WNBA Championship with Detroit
in 2003, USA Basketball Female Athlete of the Year (2001), Member of

gold-medal winning USA Basketball World University Games Team (2001).
