Students are to remain on campus at all times after they have
arrived. Only students who purchase breakfast may enter the
building before 7:50. A student must have a permit from a
teacher or administrator to enter the main building for
tutoring or for club meetings before the bell rings. Students
may not be excused from lunch to go off campus. Additionally,
the Houston Police will issue curfew citations carrying a fine
to any student who leaves the campus without permission from
an Administrator. If a student has permission to leave school
during the school day he/she must sign out in the attendance
office. Students who know in advance that they must leave
campus must bring a note from home signed by a parent stating
the reason, the time the student is to leave, and a phone
number where a parent can be reached to verify note. This note
must be brought to the attendance office in the morning and an
official permit to leave campus can be picked up immediately
prior to the dismissal time.
Students who are injured or ill should report to the nurse’s
office or their house office if the nurse is unavailable.
Students are not permitted to leave the campus until a school
official has been made contact with the parent or guardian.
A parent who needs to pick up a student during the school day
must report to the Attendance Office and sign the student out.
The student is to remain in class until the attendance office
sends for him. Students are not to wait for parents in front
of the school.
