Being an Assistant Principal at Waltrip High School is a fun and challenging job.  Every day I get to meet new students, visit classes, talk with parents, attend special sporting events and activities and read lots and lots of e-mails! 

I was not always involved in education.  I spent eleven years working at the Shell Oil Refinery in Deer Park, Texas after graduating from UT, Austin with a degree in History.  I went back to school and got a new degree in education and biology so that I could teach science in high school.  While at Milby High School, I became the Magnet Coordinator for their Science Academy and finally made my way to Waltrip as an assistant principal.

When I’m not at school, I like to garden, backpack in the mountains of Wyoming, and walk my dog, Sadie.  I have a husband, Bob, who puts up with my busy schedule and a UT-graduate son, Frank.
