THE BOOK

Integrated Physics and Chemistry - Glencoe

The text book will be used for both parts of the course.

GRADING

The grading scale will be the same as the scale used by the District.

90-100 A 80-89 B 75-79 C 70-74 D below 70 F

LABORATORY SAFETY

Each student is required to pass a laboratory safety test with at least 70% accuracy. If the student does not pass the safety test, the student will not be allowed to participate in laboratory activities until he do so. In addition to the lab safety test, each student and parent will be required to sign a Lab safety contract, stating the student has passed the test and will practice safe habits in the laboratory environment.

HOMEWORK

When homework is assigned, the student is expected to have the work completed upon entering the class the next meeting day.

Make up Work

Students will be given makeup work upon request. Work must be requested within 3 days after return from an excused absence.

CLASS RULES

Be on time (a student is considered absent if he/she misses 30 minutes of instruction).

Be prepared (pencil, pen, Textbook daily).

Walk and talk with permission.

Respect the Adult in charge, yourself and your Peers.

No food, no drink, no candy, no gum.

Keep clean your place and your classroom in order.
