Using Netscape's Composer to Create Web Pages

1. Launch Netscape Communicator 4.0
2. Open a blank page in the composer by going to: file/new/blank page
3. Save this file to your disk and name it: default.html
4. Type a name for your web page. Example: Technology Education Department.
5.     From the pull down menu "Format" select Align/Center.
6. Select the text for your title and increase the size to 24pt by using the pull down font size tab in the tool bar.
7. Change the font by using the pull down menu Format/Font.
8. From the tool bar select the Line icon. This will place a line on the page to separate the title from the rest of the page.                Insert one return after the line.
9. Reset the font to 12pt, left justifyed.
10. Select bulleted list from the tool bar.
11. Type in a list of items. These will become links to pages later.
            Save your changes.
12 Open a blank page in the composer by going to: file/new/blank page
13 Select the text button and type one of the items that you typed into your list on the default page.
14. From the tool bar select the Line icon.
15. Type a brief paragraph in the page.
16. Go to Save As under the file menu and title the page to corresponds to the content.
17. Place your cursor under the paragraph you typed.
18. Insert an image into this page by selecting the image icon from the tool bar.
19. Select "Choose file" from the open dialog box.
20. Select from your disk the file eks.jpg
21. Select open.
22. Select OK.
23. To center the image, select from the menu, Format/Align/Center.
24. Save the changes to the page.
25. Close the page.
26. Bring the default.html page to the front.
27. Highlight the first item in the list. (This should be the name of the page you just created)
28. Select the Link icon from the tool bar.
29. Select Choose File.
30. From the disk select the file for the page you created.
32. Select Open.
33. Select OK.
34. Save the changes to this page.
35. Select the View in Navigator icon from the tool bar.
36. Select the link you created.
37. Bring the default.html page to the front in the composer and add the following item to your list  ATTE
38. Highlight ATTE
39. Select the Link icon from the tool bar.
40. In the open dialog box where it says URL, type in the following:

http://www.neosoft.com/~atte

41. Select OK.
42. Save the changes to the page.
43. Select the View in Navigator icon from the tool bar.
44. Select the link to ATTE from your page.
45. Create pages for the other items in your default.html page and link them as before.
