Pick a topic from below and design a spread sheet to meet the needs of the topic.

1. Statistics for a team sport. Examples; basketball, football, baseball, etc.

A. You must include at least 5 games.
B. You will need to give all needed averages, percentages, and totals.

2. Design a grade book.

A. Minimum of 25 students.
B. At least 8 daily grades plus two tests for each six weeks.
C. Average the daily grades and test grades.
D. The tests grades must be weighted.
E. Compute three six weeks averages, a final exam and the semester average.

A. You may use the Getting Ready For the Real World work sheet as a guide.
B. You must include:

1.  Housing expenses. (Include insurance).
2. Transportation expenses. (Include insurance).
3. Miscellaneous expenses.

a. Food
b. Laundry/Cleaning
c. Sundries (Articles too small or numerous to be specified; miscellaneous items.)
d. Health and life insurance.
e. Medical, optical, and dental expenses.
f. Charity/gifts.
g. Entertainment expenses.
h.  Savings.

4. Estimate your Federal Income Taxes and your Social Security Tax (FICA).

A.  You must first submit a written proposal to obtain the instructors permission.  The proposal must be turned in with the assignment.
