Awarded annually to one cadet who exhibits the highest degree of excellence in scholastics.

Academic Excellence
Awarded annually to one cadet in each LET level for maintaining highest school academic grades.

Academic Achievement
Awarded annually to those cadets who maintain a grade of "A" in all academic subjects.
N-1-4

Perfect Attendance
Awarded to cadets with no unexcused absence during each quarter/semester.
N-1-5

Student Government
Elected to a student government office.
N-1-6

Leadership Education Training Service
Awarded to cadets successfully completing first quarter/semester of training of each LET year.

Instructor Ribbon
Awarded to LET 3/4 cadets who teach 3 in a satisfactory manner.

Superior Instructor Ribbon
Awarded to cadets instructors who teach a class to DJROTC

Academic Merit

Awarded annually to cadets maintaining a B average in all classes.

Awarded to cadets that excel in varsity teams

Physical Fitness
Awarded annually to cadets that run the mile within the corresponding male/female time limits

Awarded Annually to cadets that excel in ROTC athletics

Championship Color Guard

Awarded to the top 3 color guards in HISD competitions or teams that place in national competitions

Championship Rifle Team

Awarded to the top 3 rifle teams in HISD competitions or teams that place in national competitions.

Leadership Excellence
Awarded annually to one cadet from each LET level who displays the highest degree of leadership

Personal Appearance
Awarded annually to cadets who consistently present an outstanding appearance

Proficiency
Awarded to cadets who have demonstrated a high degree of leadership, academic achievement, and performance of duty

Awarded to cadets that successfully complete the orienteering course

Awarded to the top 3 drill teams in HISD competitions or teams that place in national competitions

Parade
Awarded to cadets that participate in a parade i.e. Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July

Recruiting
Awarded to cadets who recruit 2 students into the JROTC program
N-4-3

Community Service
Awarded to cadets that perform at least 25 hours of community service
N-4-4

Special Attendance
Awarded to cadets that attend district inspection/federal or final review
N-4-5

Best Drilled Squad/Platoon

Awarded to the top drilled squad/platoon in HISD/unit inspections or competitions
