There are three types of diplomas that students can complete for graduation. All three diplomas require the student to complete 26 credits of course work.

The “Core” diploma is the most basic diploma that is geared toward students who will go to work straight out of high school or have other plans besides attending a traditional university, although attending college with this diploma is not necessarily out of the question.
The “Recommended” diploma requires slightly more of the student academically, but is not the most rigorous program offered.
The “Distinguished” diploma is the most prestigious diploma that a student can obtain at a public high school.

Listed below are the requirements for each type of diploma.

WORLD LANGUAGE: Languages other than English

HEALTH EDUCATION: Coed Health

.5 credit

PHYSICAL EDUCATION: ROTC, Marching Band, and Athletics count, as well as a few other traditional P.E. classes

TECHNOLOGY: Must be one year in the same Course. We offer several that qualify, but keyboarding is not one of them.

FINE ARTS: Theatre, Art, Music, or Dance
