Welcome to the Sharpstown High School Library
| Hello! My
name is Donna Pecsenye. I received my library degree from
Sam Houston University and came to Sharpstown as a librarian
in 1997. Before becoming a librarian I taught secondary
English for 21 years. Choosing a favorite book is
difficult-I love so many of them! A couple outstanding
favorites are Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier and Shipping
News by Annie Proulx. Frazier’s lyrical writing took my
breath away, and Annie Proulx’s story of Quoyle’s rebirth is
such a wonderfully layered work it deserves rereading. Two
fun series I recommend are the Janet Evanovich mysteries and

The library is open daily and students may come
before and after school to use the computers.
