Ms. Ciarniello and Ms. Castro are Sharpstown High School’s art teachers.  The department offers advanced placement coursework for exceptional and talented art students.  This year Ms. Ciarniello’s students have painted backdrops for both a theatre and Black History performance.  Mural projects are ongoing and motivated students are encouraged to submit designs for various spaces in the school.

  Currently, students are asked to design a “Welcome to Sharpstown” mural for the front office, and a  mural for the 9^th Grade Academy office.   Next year, Ms. Ciarniello will launch an AP Art History course open to qualified 11^th and 12^th grade students.
