Dear Parents,

            As we approach the end of the 2007 – 08 school year, there are several items that I would like to mention.

The preparation for the first round of TAKS went well and now we’re preparing for the second phase of TAKS on April 29, 30, May 1, 2.  We will be testing 10^th and 11^th grade math, 9^th, 10^th, and 11^th science and 10^th and 11^th grade social studies.  It is essential that your students understand the importance of these exams because they must be able to pass the four exit level tests to ultimately graduate.  Also, we are unable to deliver messages or items to your students while testing and we’re requesting that you do not make appointments for your students during testing times.  I know that we will have another successful TAKS week and I would like to thank you for the support and encouragement you always provide for our students.

Aside from TAKS, there are many other events which occur this spring.  I hope you take the time to attend a few of them and see some of the wonderful things your students are accomplishing.

Padres Queridos,

Nos  acercamos al final del  8 año escolare, 2007-2008 hay varios artículos que quisiera mencionar.

La preparación para la primera rondan de TAKS nos fue bien.  Ahora nos estamos preparando para la segunda ronda de TAKS que se llevara a acabo Abril  29, 30, y  Mayo  1, 2. Grados los 10^th y 11^th  tomaran el TAKS de Matematicas y los grados 9^th 10^th,11^th   tomaran el TAKS de Ciencias y  estudiantes del 10^th y 11^th grado tomaran el TAKS de  Estudios Sociales.  Es esencial que sus estudiantes entiendan la importancia de estos exámenes debido a que ellos tendran  que  pasar las  cuatro examenes para que finalmente se puedan graduar. También, no vamos a poder entregar mensajes o artículos a sus estudiantes mientras que esten aciendo sus examenes.   Nosotros estamos pidiendo  tambien que ustedes no hagan ninguna  citas para sus estudiantes durante épocas de examenes.  Yo se que vamos a tener otra semana exitante durante el  TAKS y  quisiera agradecerles por la ayuda y el apoyo que ustedes nos brindan  siempre para nuestros estudiantes. Aparte de TAKS, hay muchos otros acontecimientos que ocurren  en esta primavera.  Espero que ustedes tomen el tiempo de asistir  a algunos de ellos y de ver algunas de las cosas maravillosas que sus estudiantes están logrando.

Mayo  26 - día de fiesta del  día conmemorativo
Mayo el 31 – graduación 7:00 P.M.
