(HISD) will be conducting a series of community forums in the coming
months to share information about ways the district is working to prepare
all students to be college- and career-ready.

Foros Comunitarios de ASPIRE

PRIMAVERA
DE 2008
El Distrito Escolar Independiente de Houston
(Houston Independent School District o HISD) ha programado una serie
de foros comunitarios regionales durante los próximos meses para
informar al público sobre las diferentes formas en que el distrito
está preparando a todos sus alumnos para sus estudios universitarios
y sus carreras.

Los padres, familias y
miembros de la comunidad de HISD están invitados para:
- Conocer ASPIRE—modelo cohesivo de
aprendizaje del distrito.
- Descubrir la diferencia entre
progreso estudiantil y rendimiento, por qué es importante medir
ambos.
- Escuchar sobre el concepto de
“análisis de valor agregado” y observar las varias formas en que
este instrument. diagnóstico sigue afectando positivamente el
impacto de los maestros y las escuelas sobre el aprendizaje.
- Descubrir los puntos fuertes de su
distrito y la Región Central, así como las. prioridades para
mejorar, según los reportes de “análisis de valor agregado”
- Conocer las metas de latgo plazo del
distrito.
- Observar el portal electrónico de
ASPIRE y los recursos informativos disponibles para los miembros
de la comunidad.
- ¡Compartir sus observaciones y
comentarios con los administradores de HISD!
