- Click on the desired list above--NOTEPAD will
open (the list will appear as one line--it doesn't "wrap")
- To select all the text, hold the CTRL key and
press the "A" key
- Next, hold the CTRL key and press the "C" key
(copy) (we'll come back to this in a minute)
- Now, open OUTLOOK, go to your INBOX,
- Look for the icon that looks like an open
book--click it.
- From its MENU, click FILE, then choose NEW
ENTRY
- Near the bottom, under PUT THIS ENTRY, change
CONTACTS to PERSONAL ADDRESS BOOK
(If PERSONAL ADDRESS BOOK isn't listed, skip down to the next
section---then after you complete that, come back and start at the top)
- Under SELECT THE ENTRY TYPE, choose "Distribution
List"--then OKAY
- Click the ADD/REMOVE MEMBERS button
- You'll see a box with 2 panes--right-click on the
pane to the right and choose PASTE
- Click the OKAY button
- Some of the names will be too much alike some
other names, and you'll have to make decisions about who is the
right person. Their schools will be listed--so will the phone number.
A positive ID can be made. In some cases you will have to
use SHOW MORE NAMES, and browse for the name in the Global (not enough
time to explain why that happens). There are only about 5 or 6.
- You'll want to give your distribution list an
appropriate name--like staff-2008
- Click the OK button and you're done
