INTRODUCTION
TO TRANSPORTATION SERVICE CAREERS (ITSC) |
| This course is designed to provide a broad basic understanding of career opportunities and training requirements and introduce skills in Automotive Technology. This is a prerequisite for Auto Tech I & II. Students are prepared for employment in this field after completing these classes. |

AUTOMOTIVE
TECHNOLOGY 1 (AUTO TECH 1) |
|
The course is designed to provide job specific training for
entry-level employment in the Automotive Engine repair and service
career field. First year instruction emphasizes use of repair
manuals, service and/or repair of basic automobile components; field
systems, emission controls, power trains, chassis, electrical
systems, brakes, heating, and air conditioning.
This class is DUAL CREDIT with H.C.C. |

AUTOMOTIVE
TECHNOLOGY II (AUTO TECH 2) |
|
Second-year instruction enhances job-specific training for
employment in the automotive engine repair and service career
field. Successful completion of this course satisfies the Physical
Education graduation requirement.
This class is DUAL CREDIT with H.C.C. Students explore the entire automotive industry. They learn how to analyze automotive problems with the latest electronic machines while still learning the hands on approach of repairing an automobile. |

CONSTRUCTION CAREERS & ARCHITECTURAL MATERIALS MS. SMALLING |
|
A technical course in principles of residential design, architectural styles, and construction practices. Activities focus on the development of original working drawings, presentation drawings, and model building. |

COMPUTER AIDED DRAFTING I MS. SMALLING |
|
This two semester course is designed to focus on drawing orthographic views and developments using computer software applications for architectural, electronic, and electro-mechanical drafting. This should be a full-year commitment. |
