Class of 1965 40 Year Reunion Notice Saturday, September 24, 2005 Hey Classmates,
Its time to return to the good ole days and come to our 40 year reunion party. Do you remember Sock Hops, Drive Inn movies, Friday night football, Pep Rallies, cruising by the Pig Stand or Prince’s on North Shepherd? Do you remember listening to that great music of the sixties (on AM radio or 8 track tapes) that people now call “the oldies”? On September 24, we will be turning back the clock to get together for an evening of remembering those good ole days. To celebrate our 40 year reunion, the reunion committee decided we wanted a more casual atmosphere than in the past where we could visit with classmates, listen to great music and dance to our favorite tunes. We even thought it would be neat to munch down on one of those great Prince’s cheeseburgers with a chocolate shake for dessert. WE WANT YOU TO BE INCLUDED IN THIS FUN FILLED EVENING. Please mark your calendar, send in your registration form (see attachment) now and most importantly, help us find and notify everybody. 40 YEAR REUNION HIGHLIGHTS Date: Saturday night September 24, 2005 Location: Sokol Hall 1314 West Patton Houston, Texas Sokol Hall is over off Airline by Montie Beach Park. From Loop 610, turn south on Airline. About one half mile after you pass Cavalcade, turn left on West Patton. Sokol has a casual atmosphere with stage and dance floor. Time: 6:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. Music: Our D.J. will be playing all the great music of the sixties. Don’t worry, we will start with low volume at first while everyone is socializing then bring the volume up and the lights down toward the latter part of the evening when people want to dance. Feel free to suggest a favorite song when you sign up to come to the reunion. No Disco please…Also attire is dressy casual. No jeans or t-shirts. Refreshments: We will have a cash bar with beer $2.25 and setups/soft drinks $.75. Otherwise BYOB Food: Prince’s Hamburger’s of Houston will cater with cheese burgers/hotdogs with all the fixins and shakes for dessert. Pictures: We plan to have a person roaming around taking pictures of people visiting and also taking group pictures by homeroom, Elementary and Jr. High. We will burn them on a CD and sell them after the reunion for a small fee. Reagan Website: The Reagan High School campus is undergoing a major renovation. They have torn down all of the buildings except the cafeteria and the three story building. P.S. Any lady attending with a bouffant hairdo (see yearbook for examples) and wearing penny loafers with bobby socks will win a door prize.
