
Course Syllabus –Bennie Jenkins, Instructor
Provides advanced technology skills required in the business environment includes workplace technology standards in applications of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, telecommunications, desktop publishing, presentation management, networking, operating systems, and emerging technologies; and develops advanced level skills. Course can count for one credit of Technology Applications.
The purpose of this course is to develop the student’s ability to use advanced computer skills and the Internet for research. Furthermore, they will produce documented reports in a variety of published formats from their research. Students will work individually and in teams using critical thinking and problem solving skills to prepare them for the transition to the workplace. They will explore business and computer related careers as well as prepare a personal portfolio. The computer will become their tool to increasing productivity.
