Furr 's Dress Code
The following policy describes the decisions made by the
Furr High School dress code committee for 2005 - 2006:
Shirts - Students must wear white
solid color shirts. All shirts must be polo or button down with
a collar (no t-shirts). Shirts should come slightly below the
waist but not more than 6 inches below the beltline. There will
not be any logos, printings or pictures allowed on shirts.
Shirts can be worn either tucked in or out. No see-through, skin or underwear
will be showing.
Pants - Students must wear khaki
trousers
(pants)
with straight legs. No baggy trousers are to be worn. All
trousers must be worn at the waistline (no hip huggers).
Shoes - Shoes may be any color
but must have enclosed toes and back. Sandals are permissible if
they have a strap around the back of the foot and over the toe.
No flip-flops, thongs, house-shoes, slippers or high-heels. All shoes
should be flat and made so that there are no accidents on the
stairs.
Shorts, Skirts & Jumpers - No
shorter than three inches above the knee. No spandex. Trousers
(pants) are preferred to wearing shorts, skirts or jumpers. When sitting
clothing must cover the lap sufficiently.

sweatbands, doo rags, bandanas, caps, hats, hair nets or other items worn
on the head.
All students are expected to meet community standards and school
policies with regard to health, cleanliness, and appearance.
