Target provides scholarships to high school seniors and graduates aged 24 and younger.  Applicants must have a minimum 2.0 GPA (C) and a record of community service.  Scholarships are a maximum of $10,000.  NOTE:  The deadline to apply is November 1.
QuestBridge Offers the possibility for low-income students to gain full scholarships to some of the nation’s most highly ranked colleges and universities. If you are an academically high achieving student in the National Honor Society you should apply for this scholarship.
Discover The Tribute Award® Scholarship Program is for  high school juniors nationwide for excellence in academics, and for accomplishments in leadership and community service, as well as for special talents and obstacles they've overcome. They give up to nine $2,500 awards in each state, and up to nine $25,000 national awards.  Application Available: December 2007

American Planning Association The American Planning Association is pleased to announce a nationwide high school $5,000 essay contest.  This year's theme, "Great Streets, Great Neighborhoods: Greening Streets and Neighborhoods".   Application Deadline: January 15, 2008

 

 
 
 
 

Horatio Alger Association Scholarship Program: This scholarship awards annually more than 8.5 million in college scholarships and grants, making it one of the nation’s largest scholarship providers.  Application Deadline:  November 5, 2007.

 
Guild Scholarship The Jewish Guild for the blind offers an annual scholarship program for college-bound high school students who are legally blind.  Applications will be accepted from students at the start of their senior year, with recipients selected and scholarships awarded later in the academic year. The program will award 12 to 15 scholarships of up to $15,000 each.
Pfizer  pleased to announce this years award in which 25 scholarships worth $3,000 each will be given to qualified students, qualifications are: be under a physician’s care for epilepsy, submit an application with 2 letters of recommendation (1 from his/her physician), and provide a copy of his/her grades. Application Deadline: March 1, 2008.
