Project GRAD Scholarship Program at
Jefferson Davis High School
What is the Project GRAD Scholarship Program?
The Project GRAD Scholarship Program is designed to give young people a chance to succeed and to give the community a chance to become involved. The program assists students by providing a $4,000.00 scholarship to be used for tuition and other college related expenses. The scholarship program has staff available to assist students and parents with access to higher education.
Who is eligible for the $4000 Scholarship?
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must:
4 Credits- English
2 Credits-Language other than English
4 Credits- Math
1 Credit-Technology Applications
4 Credits-Science
4 Credits -Social Studies
3.5 Credits Electives
3.5 Credits-
(1) Physical Education
(1) Fine Arts
(0.5)Speech
(0.5)Health
-
Take the PSAT College Entrance Exam during the sophomore or junior year of high school
-
Have at least a 2.5 overall grade point average upon graduation
-
Must begin high school at Jefferson Davis High School and graduate from Jefferson Davis High School in four years or less
-
Enroll in an accredited college or university within one year of graduation from Jefferson Davis High School
-
Complete two Project GRAD approved college institutes, or pre-approved equivalent programs
