Chavez High School encourages all students at the high school to participate in our interscholastic program. We believe that the opportunity for participation in a wide variety of student-selected activities is a vital part of a student's total educational experience. Lessons in sportsmanship, teamwork, competition, and fair play are all integral parts of the athletic experience. Participation is a privilege that carries with it responsibilities to the school, to the sport, and to the students themselves. These experiences contribute to the development of the well-rounded individual allowing them to maximize their potential for success. We offer a wide variety of sports for both boys and girls during each season of the school. As a student at Chavez High School, we hope that you will take advantage of every opportunity in athletics. Doing so will enable you to make new friends, learn valuable lessons and provide a lifetime of memories
