PARENT EDUCATION CENTER
Carter is the home of a Parent Education Center sponsored by Project Reconnect, an HISD program designed to bring parents and community members into schools.
STUDENT GROWTH
Student achievement at Carter is measured under the Alternative Accountability System and is monitored by the Texas Education Agency. For the most recent five-year period, students have improved their percentage of course credits completed, attendance and reduced the drop-out rate.
SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES
Behavioral Services Classes at Carter feature academic core classes for referred students in grades 6-12. Individualized counseling and psychological services are available.
Carter also offers resource classes.
