Welcome to Austin High School Library Online. We have compiled links to various internet resources that may be of assistance to you.

Library Policies and Information
Our Mission
The Stephen F. Austin High School library mission is to foster each student’s independent inquiry, critical thinking, research skills and love of reading.
It is our goal to ensure that students and staff become effective users of information and instructional technologies that will aid in gathering, evaluating, and using information.

Hours
The library welcomes students, faculty and the Austin community. Our hours are 7:55-3:30, including all lunch periods.
Donations in honor of students, family and friends are welcome.

Our Resources
The resources of the our Library include a curriculum-based collection of approximately 28,000 volumes and audio-visual materials, subscriptions to over 80 periodicals and the local daily newspaper. The Alexandria online catalog of the library’s collections is available on-line along with access to curriculum based databases and internet links.

Loan Policy
Student I.D. numbers are required for book checkout.
Up to five books may be checked out for two weeks. If other patrons have not requested materials, they may be renewed.
No fines are charged for overdue books, but prompt return is expected.
Books may not be checked out or renewed if there are outstanding overdue books. Lost books must be paid for.

Regulations
Permits are required during all instructional periods.
Off-campus permits are accepted during appropriate periods.
Please sign in at the circulation desk.
Teachers may send up to six students with a pass to the library at one time.

Other Resources
Computers and printers are available in the library. Printing is restricted to academic pursuits and copy paper is not supplied. Removable storage devices are required for saving documents and electronic information.
