Exams
Mrs. Llorente stated that we need weekly updates on our action plan for the PSAT, SAT & ACT exams.  Mrs. Llorente needs Mr. Dias-Princeton Review information like Diagnostic test and other test that he gives the students.  Mrs. Llorente needs to know how students are doing on a weekly basis.  Each 10th and 11th will get a PSAT /MNSOQT Student Guide.  The guide is just a suggestion for students how to approach the SAT test.  Inside it’s an actual Practice Tests for the student.  The test is multiple choice.  Can the teachers give this test? The practice test also comes with the answer sheet.  The Practice Test was given to Mrs. Perkins-English Department.  We are going to pull out the answer document.  The test will be taken during A2 period for two days.  We are going to use scantron sheets.  The timing frame is five sections, four sections are 25 each.  Mrs. Llorente wants to scan the scantron sheets to see how students did and how they will be doing in the future.  The SAT test is on October 14, 2009.  This needs to be done before October 14th.

Reach Out to Dropouts
We are required to come on Saturday, September 12, 2009 for the Reach Out to Dropouts Walk.  Administrators need to get 10 people to volunteer (teachers, staff, etc.)  Volunteers will get four hours of compensatory time for that Saturday.

10-Minute Meeting
Everything that the teacher needs for the 10-minute meeting are on pages 66-81 in your “Welcome Back” binder that was given on Aug 10th.  Mrs. Llorente will keep this dates; September 21st, 23rd and 25th, unless Mrs. Llorente is pulled for whatever reason by one of her bosses.  If that happens to occur on September 21st, 23rd or the 25th, than we will re-schedule.  The Campus On-line information for those teachers that were not aware can go to pages 82-88 of the same binder.  All the information needed is in that binder for the new and seasoned teachers.

Open House
Open house is mandatory for teachers, staff, and clerks/aides. You must be present on this day Thursday, September 24, 2009.  If for any reason you cannot come, you need to come and notify Mrs. Llorente personally.  This date was set up during the summer time.  E-mails or messages will not be acceptable.  Mr. Stickney needs to put the Destination Wall by this date.  Mrs. D. Jones and Mrs. K. Calhoun need to help. The wall needs to be in order by the time parents walk on to this campus.

SDMC Election
Mrs. Shaw is going to send out an e-mail this Friday, August 28, 2009 for the SDMC nominations.  Last year some teachers were elected or re-elected.  On the second sheet you will see the timeline.  If there’s anyone else whose time is up, please notify Mrs. Shaw.  Mrs. Assenmacher needs to be replaced.
