At NGCPA, we require our students to attend two Project Grad College Institutes. All students will attend these College Institutes before and after attending NGCPA.

Legend of the Phoenix, Our Mascot:

Phoenix

Our mascot is the Phoenix, a fabulous bird from Egyptian, Greek, Hindu, and Chinese mythology. Legend has it that only one Phoenix can exist at any time and it has a life span of 500 to 1400 years. According to legend, the Phoenix has splendid gold, purple, and red feathers and a remarkable singing voice. When it is wounded or is near death, it builds itself a nest of sweet-smelling wood and spices and sets itself on fire. As the old Phoenix burns, a new Phoenix springs forth from the flames! Because of this remarkable ability, the Phoenix is a symbol of rebirth, new beginnings, and immortality. Its flight has been said to represent the capacity to leave the world and its problems behind, flying towards the sun in pure clear skies.

The Phoenix is a terrific mascot for our school because our students are amazing beings and they never give up. Even if they crash and burn at work or play, they pick themselves up out of the flames and start over again!

Our school colors are gold for excellence, and purple for royalty.
